Solid Mahogany End Grain cutting board

This cutting board is made of 100% solid mahogany. Handles are cut into the ends for ease of movement. It also has feet for stability.
Of the three types of cutting boards (top grain, side grain and end grain) end grain is the most prized for its durability and strength.
The board is sanded up to 220 grit which is the perfect grit to accept oil and finishes. The board has been coated with a food safe finish which combines orange oil, beeswax and carnauba wax. This is absorbed into the grain to prevent drying of the wood. As a final finish, a food safe, plant based wax called “Wood Wax” is applied as a final protective coat.
